Engineering Plastics
Engineering Plastics
Engineering plastics can be used permanently at temperatures between 100°C and 150°C. In general, this product group is also referred to as technical thermoplastics. Engineering plastics demonstrate good mechanical characteristics, high dimensional stability, good chemical resistance and resistance to wear.
Nylon Rod is commonly referred to as:
- Nylon
- Nylon 6
- Tecast
- Tecamid
- Polyamide Rod
- PA ROd
- Ertalon
- Lubron
- Nylatron
- GHER
- Zellamid 202

Nylon Rod | ENSINGER TECAST®/ TECAMID® Polyamide Rod
Nylon Rod, commonly known as Polyamide Rod or PA Rod (PA), are semi-crystalline polymers with very good mechanical properties, extreme toughness and excellent sliding and wear properties. Nylon Rod is tough and highly load resistant. Due to the pressureless manufacturing process Cast Nylon is almost stress free.
Polyamide Rod Applications
- Machined components
- Engineering parts
- Bearings
- Valve flange
- Bushing
- Gears
- Pulleys
- Sprin
- Release blocks
PEEK Rod | ENSINGER TECAPEEK® Rod
TECAPEEK is the premium Ensinger Polyaryletherketones (also polyether ether ketone) (PEEK) PEEK Rod is high-temperature-resistant thermoplastics with unusual characteristics. The high strength of the semi-crystalline aromatic polymers is maintained even at high temperatures.
PEEK materials demonstrate very good impact strength at low temperatures, high mechanical fatigue strength, a very low tendency to creep as well as good sliding and wear properties. Their chemical resistance is also very good. Due to their unusual characteritsics, TECAPEEK is used for particularly demanding applications. TECAPEEK PEEK is available in rods.
PEEK Rod Applications
- Machined components
- Engineering parts
- Bearings
- Valve flange
- Bushing
- Gears
- Pulleys
- Sprin
- Release blocks
