From aircraft construction and aircraft cabin windows to monitors and displays, as structural glazing, in noise barriers or in advertising, it offers the tailormade, durably brilliant solution. The PLEXIGLAS® family

PLEXIGLAS® combines a plethora of properties and offers a unique range of solutions for highly specific applications. From impact resistant and heat-reflecting to special surface textures, wooden look-and-feel to solar applications: over the years, the PLEXIGLAS® family has produced specialists for the most diverse requirements. These molding compounds and sheet products have been grouped together under names that reveal the material’s key property at first glance.

Plexiglas®: PMMA sheets as basic products with unbeatable resistance to UV light and weathering, combined with durability. The products are either clear and brilliant or available in a large number of opaque, translucent, transparent and fluorescent colors.

Plexiglas® Hi Gloss: A noble appearance and special deep-view effect are the characteristics of these high-gloss solid sheets, which are available in various colors and with up-to-the-minute décors. Specialty molding compounds provide injection-molded components with a high-gloss Class A surface and remarkable depth of color.

Plexiglas® LED: The new dimension of light: specialty PMMA sheets and moulding compounds for efficient lighting applications combined with LEDs. Specialty products for edge lighting and backlighting offer maximum light transmission without disturbing hot spots, as well as attractive colour play effects.

Plexiglas® Satinice: This material’s velvet surfaces are robust, pleasant to the touch and discretely light-diffusing. Sheets and tubes are available with a matte satin surface on one or both sides, or with diffuser beads evenly distributed throughout the material, in various colors. Available as diffuser molding compounds for components with a light-diffusing effect.

Be on the Safe Side

Sunlight contains a large proportion of harmful UV radiation. Everyone who has ever suffered from sunburn knows that. UV radiation can cause dramatic changes in most plastics. They may turn yellow or brown, and become unsightly. When new, transparent plastics all look more or less the same. The nasty surprise often comes a few years later, as shown above. Products that contain natural UV protection throughout the material are best equipped. PLEXIGLAS® with the special NATURALLY UV-STABLE technology has such natural protection.

    We guarantee that sheets in Clear grade will retain a high level of light transmission for 30 years.
